Combat Veterans to Careers

I made a deal with America. If you give me a green card, I will make you proud. I will travel across your beautiful land and I will make people smile, laugh and encourage folks to be their best selves. I also promised to work with as many charities I possibly can throughout my journey. That said, I was honored to help our veterans this past weekend at a "Cooking with Vodka" themed event in The Villages, FL. My goal was to raise $10K by the end of the evening for Combat Veterans to Careers, and I was a chuffed when we surpassed our goal, raising $15K. I Did it My Way: Living the American Dream

In the late ‘90s, I moved to the United States in search of the American dream. I wasn’t sure exactly what it would look like, but I knew it was different than what I left behind in Liverpool. What I learned since then is that the American dream is not the same for everyone. It’s not always about 2.5 children and a house in the suburbs.
