Prawns in Garlic Butter

Serves 4   Active Time 15 min.   Total Time 15 min.



1 tbsp olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 bay leaf

1 dried chilli (optional)

12 large raw prawns

2 fat garlic cloves, crushed

Salt and pepper

Small handful parsley, chopped Fresh crusty bread 




1.  In a large frying pan heat the oil and butter. Add            the prawns, garlic, bay leaf and chilli and stir well.

2.  Stir fry until the prawns are pink (about 4-5                      minutes).

3. Season with salt and pepper and scatter the                   chopped parsley over. Serve with croutons of fresh       crusty bread.
